About me
I am Mónica Conde, an artist based in Les Planes d'Hostoles, in the heart of Garrotxa (Girona).
Since childhood, and as a neurodivergent person (then undiagnosed), I found in animals a language of my own—direct and filled with truth. That innate connection has become the heart of my work: tender scenes that reflect the deep bond between childhood and the animal world.
Trained in costume design and oil painting, I meticulously craft every character and atmosphere. My paintings seek to convey tenderness, compassion, and unconditional love, evoking memories of a bygone era and awakening a deep sensibility.
To delve into this art is to enter an intimate universe where beauty is found in its most genuine forms: the pure gaze of childhood and its bond with the animal world.
